The show room is dominated by an oversized “pin board”, which consists of small sized photos with mottoes and vegetal motives. All works are colored black and white photos. The mottoes are mostly photographed scraps of paper with handwritten quotes. They have various origins and were collected by Gerhard Winkler during the last months.
The installation is a loose collection of motives without any apparent order. You can either view it as capitulation against it’s diversity and impenetrability or as arranging yourself in a complex reality.
In further three-part works, respectively one life-sized portrait is associated with one urban landscape and completed by a photo of rudimental interiors. The combination of portraits and landscapes aren’t of documentary but of intuitive character.
